Equipment Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring that all equipment is used safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Operate heavy machinery including excavators, skid steers, dump trucks, front end loaders, rollers, and dozers.
• Perform digging and grading tasks as required on construction sites, meeting grade staking requirements, understand and read grading, foundation and septic plans.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate operations and maintain safety standards on-site; with foreman and owner.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials and machines, picking up materials.
• Carry out day to day tasks; that support the project goals while maintaining a professional attitude with clients, co workers and vendors

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation.
• Proficiency in operating general heavy equipment, loading and unloading and hauling equipment.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
