Equipment Operator/Maintenance (Cemetery)

The City of Hibbing is seeking a dedicated Equipment Operator/Maintenance Worker to support operations at the City Cemetery. This position is responsible for operating light and heavy equipment and performing a variety of maintenance duties including grave preparation and closing, mowing and grounds care, snow removal, equipment repair, and assisting with burial services in a respectful and professional manner. The role also involves inspecting and maintaining vehicles and mechanical equipment, performing minor facility repairs, and helping ensure the cemetery grounds remain safe and well maintained. Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Minnesota Class B CDL with Tank Endorsement, and experience operating equipment such as tractors, loaders, and mowers along with mechanical repair and welding skills. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires attention to detail, professionalism with the public, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Pay: $25.84 - $32.30 per hour
