Job description
EverPresent is the nation’s leading company for digitizing family memories, transforming photographs, film, audio, and video into modern formats that will last for generations. Our work combines advanced technology with a personal touch, and we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of quality.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Equipment & Product Quality Manager to join our Product Delivery team. This role is critical in ensuring our production facility operates at peak performance and that all client work meets EverPresent’s quality standards.
Approximately 80% of this role focuses on reviewing digitized products—photographs, videos, and audio—at multiple stages of the process to confirm adherence to protocols and policies, and performing the majority of final quality checks before projects leave the lab. The remaining 20% of the role supports equipment oversight, including monitoring, light troubleshooting, and coordinating maintenance to ensure the technology powering our lab operates reliably.
Job Duties:
- Manage and maintain all Audio/Visual and photography digitization equipment, including moderate repairs, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination.
- Serve as the facility’s technology point person, troubleshooting workstation, software, and network issues.
- Oversee media cleaning and repair processes for audio, film, tape, and photographic materials.
- Train and supervise staff on equipment usage, digitizing techniques, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
- Work with EverPresent Headquarters Leadership to implement and uphold standard operating procedures that drive efficiency and ensure quality.
- Prepare detailed reports on lab progress, equipment readiness, and quality outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of digitized products into our service offerings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of work in our client database.
- Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Essential Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or technology certifications are a plus.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in broadcast production, equipment maintenance, or technology maintenance.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven leadership experience in a lab, production, technical support, or technology-focused environment.
- Previous experience in quality control, technical production, media archiving, or broadcast environments strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with audio-visual or photographic equipment, including ability to perform moderate repairs.
- Skilled in both Windows and Mac operating systems; confident in troubleshooting technology issues.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to train, mentor, and motivate others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities; able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Punctual, reliable, with consistent transportation to and from work.
- Self-motivated, quick learner with a strong work ethic.
- Seeking meaningful work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Technical or technology certifications a plus.
- Additional experience in quality control, technical production, or related media environments a plus.
Essential Physical Job Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; use hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, push, pull, and carry materials; bend, lift, and move items weighing 25–30 lbs.
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods.
- Ability to work in environments where dust, mold, or mildew may be present, which may be encountered when handling or transporting old or damaged film, photographs, and other client materials.
- Comfort with occasional exposure to dust and debris when opening and servicing equipment for moderate repairs.
All candidates must be willing to submit to a background check.
