Equipment Technician – Solar Panel Production Line
The Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment used in a solar panel production line. This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, automation systems, and utilities.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic PLC-related issues.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and process improvements.
- Monitor equipment performance and respond promptly to production issues to minimize downtime.
- Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures; maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance, electromechanics, or related field.
- Experience in manufacturing or automated production environments (solar, semiconductor, or electronics preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting skills; ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call as required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as required.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
