Equipment Technician – Solar Panel Production Line

The Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment used in a solar panel production line. This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, automation systems, and utilities.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic PLC-related issues.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, and process improvements.
• Monitor equipment performance and respond promptly to production issues to minimize downtime.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures; maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance, electromechanics, or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing or automated production environments (solar, semiconductor, or electronics preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting skills; ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call as required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as required.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
