Equity Research Associate - Power, Utilities, & Clean Energy

Jefferies is seeking an experienced associate to help assist in covering the clean energy sector. Job duties and requirements include:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for associate-level coverage of an array of clean energy stocks
• Build and maintain detailed company models
• Stay on top of company news, track filings, listen to conference calls
• Write first look notes, contribute to longer thematic reports, and company initiations
• Field questions and communicate with sales and/or clients
• Maintain relationships with company IR teams.

Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years experience covering clean energy on the sell-side, buy-side, banking or consulting.
• Experienced in FactSet and/or Bloomberg; knowledge of industry-specific databases also helpful.
• Advanced Excel modeling and writing skills
• Strong knowledge of accounting, corporate finance and energy-specific terminology/concepts

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree
• CFA or progression towards CFA preferred
• FINRA Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 preferred (required within 5 months of hire)

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $100,000 - $120,000.
