Equity Sales Trader

Job Description:

• Maximise the client’s returns on personal investment and provide him with apt guidance and advice as may be needed.

• Sell stock and bonds for investors as per business acumen and the client’s financial goals.

• Ensure that the transactions of the client result in profit generally and create an impressive portfolio of work that carries significance.

• Coverage of US markets.

• Execute of stock & listed cash equity orders for clients.

• Understand market dynamics in stock execution.

• Assist in supporting other product execution, including FX, Commodities & fixed income.

• Contribute to the growth of the business via the identification of new trade opportunities and counterparties.

• Provide seamless execution across all applicable asset classes, including bonds, FX, interest rates, and credit products.

• Work closely with trading, capital markets, research, economics, and market strategy professionals within the business to respond to client needs.

• Provide market commentary and consolidate research views for both internal and external distribution.

• Recommend investment ideas based upon client’s investment objectives, overall portfolios, relevant market exposures and relative value considerations.

• Execute equity products including cash and algorithmic trading.

• Plan and execute the marketing strategy for cash equities.

• Identify and maintaining key client relationships.

• Daily outbound/inbound sales calls to clients.

• Organise and presenting to both investors and brokers.

• Manages the risk of each transaction for clients and counterparties.

• Guarantee good transactions execution (negotiation with clients and counterparties, execution on the markets and pricing).

• Greeting guests, determining needs, sharing product knowledge, adding on to sales and taking customer special orders.

• Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.

• Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of related experience.

• Proven experience in equities and executing stock orders in a brokerage or financial institutions.

• Experience in Capital Markets experience in a sales or trading capacity.

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree in related field.

• Master’s degree will be advantageous.
