ER Head (Emergency Room Head) with an MBBS
Salary – 1,00,000/- To 1,50,000/- (Depend Interview)
Experience – Minimum 8+ years of experience in Emergency Medicine, Prior experience as ER In-charge / ER Lead / Senior RMO preferred, Multispecialty hospital experience is an added advantage.
Qualification – MBBS (Mandatory)
Job Summary
The ER Head is responsible for overall clinical, administrative, and operational management of the Emergency Department. The role ensures high-quality emergency medical care, efficient patient flow, compliance with hospital policies, and effective coordination with other clinical departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise emergency medical services and patient care.
- Ensure timely assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of emergency cases.
- Handle critical and life-threatening cases efficiently.
- Establish and monitor emergency treatment protocols and SOPs.
- Ensure patient safety, quality care, and adherence to clinical standards.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Emergency Room.
- Ensure optimal staffing, duty rosters, and shift management.
- Coordinate with ICU, OT, diagnostics, ambulance, and other departments.
- Monitor ER performance indicators such as TAT, patient outcomes,admissions.
- Ensure compliance with NABH, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and train ER doctors, RMOs, nurses, and paramedical staff.
- Conduct regular training, drills, and performance reviews.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and a patient-centric work culture.
- Address staff grievances and ensure smooth interdepartmental coordination.
- Ensure infection control, patient safety, and emergency preparedness.
- Manage medico-legal cases and ensure proper documentation.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Handle emergency-related complaints and resolve escalations.
