Job Summary:
A designer will follow established technical specifications while preparing drawings/models for designated projects and proactively collaborate with Project Management and the field team to ensure seamless and efficient installation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop mechanical designs for field installation or fabrication.• Participate/Lead VDC Coordination onsite or web-based meetings.• Convert Bid level construction documents to LOD 500 models with associated documentation. Using Revit, Auto-Sprink, and/or CADmep.
Facilitate fabrication by communicating and coordinating with field, fab shop and detailers.
Track progress of jobs through construction, monitoring and updating job documentation and models.
Review designs and coordination for other team members.
Participate in ongoing training in design, code interpretation, new technologies and current market trends.
Build and maintain fabrication services where necessary.

Education and Experience:
- Required: Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering technology or mechanical Drafting and Design or equivalent technical education and 3+ years of technical experience.
- Preferred: Experience with AutoCad, Revit, Auto-Sprink or equivalent. NICET or ability to obtain.
