Duties

• Assist with installing erosion control measures such as silt fences, erosion mats, and sediment basins to prevent soil runoff during construction or landscaping projects
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery like excavators to prepare sites and install erosion control devices effectively
• Conduct routine inspections of erosion control installations to ensure proper function and make necessary adjustments or repairs
• Support landscape maintenance activities including mowing, gardening, tree trimming, and hardscape installation to promote healthy environments
• Maintain and clean equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and machinery used on-site to ensure safety and efficiency
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks like irrigation setup, land grading, and snow plowing during seasonal changes
• Follow safety protocols diligently while working with construction materials, landscaping equipment, and environmental protection devices

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge for operating small machinery like excavators and maintaining tools
• Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices
• Familiarity with landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and tree care
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in outdoor environments
• Knowledge of erosion control methods such as installing silt fences or erosion mats
• Basic understanding of irrigation systems and snow plowing operations
