The ERP Quality Assurance Team Leader is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all testing activities across the ERP landscape. This role ensures that all ERP modules and integrated systems meet defined quality, performance, and security standards before deployment to production. The ERP QA Team Leader works closely with functional consultants, technical teams, business users, and external partners to define test strategies, manage test execution, and drive continuous improvement in QA practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Planning: Define and execute the overall ERP testing strategy, including test plans, timelines, and resource allocation aligned with project goals and risk levels.
- Test Design & Traceability: Lead the design and maintenance of test cases across functional, integration, regression, performance, and security requirements with clear traceability.
- Integration & Unit Testing: Coordinate unit testing with consultants and oversee end to end integration across ERP modules and external systems.
- UAT Management: Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process, managing planning, stakeholder coordination, execution, and formal sign off.
- QA Governance: Establish and enforce standards, QA gates, entry/exit criteria, and defect management protocols.
- Automation & Performance: Drive UI/API automation strategy and CI/CD integration; oversee load, stress, and scalability testing to meet system SLAs.
- Regression & Security: Manage regression cycles and coordinate penetration testing with security teams to prioritize vulnerability remediation.
- Defect Management: Direct the defect lifecycle, analyze quality trends, and report metrics and risks to project leadership.
- Team Leadership: Manage task allocation and mentoring while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge Transfer (KT): Lead KT sessions on testing processes and ERP specific approaches for teams and users while maintaining QA repositories and test assets.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with project managers, architects, and business leads to align testing activities with delivery objectives.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in QA lead roles specifically within ERP implementation or support environments.
- Hands on experience in test case design, regression, integration, UAT coordination, and QA governance.
- Practical exposure to automation test and frameworks.
