Position Summary:
The ERP Business Analyst partners with cross-functional stakeholders across Production, Sales, Inventory, and Operations to support ERP system design, implementation, and optimization. This role is responsible for gathering business requirements, mapping current and future-state processes, configuring system workflows and Bills of Materials (BOMs), documenting procedures, and leading system testing and validation efforts.
This individual contributor role requires a proactive, analytical self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments and can navigate ambiguity with confidence. The ideal candidate leverages data to drive decision-making, identify process improvements, and enhance operational efficiency.
The ERP Business Analyst serves as a functional leader—guiding cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring system solutions improve internal workflows, elevate customer experience, and support scalable growth. This is a hands-on role for someone who both performs the work and coordinates across teams, without direct people management responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Identify short-term and long-term goals to improve order and product management in Agility
- Partner with sales, operations and production leadership to evaluate, redesign, and optimize ERP-supported manufacturing workflows
- Define process for creating and maintaining new items and document SOPs
- Configure and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and production-related master data to support accurate manufacturing execution
- Correct BOMs when issues are shared by the production or sales team
- Implement new work order codes for a cleaner and more effective order entry process
- Create a roadmap for new product implementation and coordination among many departments
- Lead ERP-related testing, validation, and user acceptance efforts for system enhancements, upgrades, and new process rollouts
- Collaborate closely with production, purchasing, and sales teams in the development, QA, and release of products, and balance resources to ensure success for the entire organization
- When notified by Purchasing of discontinued product, flag product and communicate with Sales Team. Once inventory is depleted, deactivate code in Agility
- Complete requests for customer maintenance in Agility
- Maintain data in Agility related to entry and production including but not limited to supplier info, delivery routes, and purchase orders
- Support Inside Sales with rare product requests and project production
- Establish and maintain relationships with sales and production managers
- Coordinate with Purchasing as needed for sourcing and product availability
- Suggest and implement improvements in the sales administration and production planning processes
- Develop training documentation and support end-user training to drive ERP adoption and process consistency
- Serve as a key subject matter expert for ERP-related production and operational workflows
- Other duties as assigned by General Manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5–7 years implementing, configuring, and supporting manufacturing ERP systems in a production environment
- Demonstrated experience leading or heavily supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or major system/process enhancements within manufacturing operations
- Experience with DMSi Agility strongly preferred
- Experience working in a matrixed environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Experience with building BOMs, routings, and overall product/master data maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, production planning, inventory control, and order-to-cash workflows
- Proven experience driving business process implementation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience translating operational requirements into ERP system configurations and scalable workflows
- Manufacturing/Distribution experience required
- In-depth knowledge of the building materials industry preferred but not necessary
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present ideas and build consensus
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives without formal authority

Pay: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
