ER/PHYSICIAN CUM CRITICAL CARE

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: MBBS with MD / DNB in General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Critical Care.
• Experience: Minimum 1–5 years of experience in Emergency or ICU setup preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in emergency procedures and ICU management
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and in rotational shifts
• Work Schedule:
• Rotational shifts (Day/Night) as per hospital schedule
• Key Responsibilities:Emergency Room Duties:
• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department.

Critical Care Duties:

• Monitor and manage patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Supervise and guide nursing staff and junior doctors in ICU procedures.
• Perform and oversee procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, arterial line, and ventilator management.
• Regularly review patient progress, treatment plans, and investigations.
• Ensure infection control, safety, and ICU protocols are strictly followed.

General Physician Duties:

• Conduct daily rounds in ICU and emergency wards.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and follow evidence-based clinical guidelines.
• Liaise with patient families, provide updates, and counsel regarding treatment plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to case discussions.
• Provide immediate life-saving interventions for critical cases such as trauma, cardiac arrest, stroke, and respiratory failure.
• Conduct triage and prioritize treatment based on the severity of illness or injury.
• Coordinate with on-call consultants and refer patients for further management as required.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records of ER patients.
