What project we have for you
Our client is a software development company which delivers high-quality software for number of automotive OEMs. They focus on developing innovative infotainment systems, navigation software, map and online services and creating a seamless user experience for the next generation of produced vehicles.
This position is based in our clients premises in Mumbai office.
What you will do
  • Ensuring smooth processing of quality issues
  • Initial triage of incoming bugs
  • Ensuring effective triaging process within engineering teams
  • Coordinate engineering teams on bug processing, from RCA through planning, up till resolution
  • Maintain accumulated program-wide bug resolution planning, monitor bug fixing progress, identify gaps & seek for mitigation actions
  • Maintain reporting dashboards
  • Report to Program Manager and customer
  • Setting up test activities in the project: test environment, processes, methods
  • Creation and maintenance of manual test cases
  • Work with HW devices in the lab
  • Creation and review of test documentation
  • Performing software updates to the test benches
  • Periodical testing on test benches in the lab
  • Executing test plans/test suites
  • Bug reporting
What you need for this
Required skills:
  • 5+ years in the automotive industry in similar or related positions
  • 3+ years in Tests Engineering for Automotive
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working in an agile development environment and familiarity with agile methodologies
  • Experience in software engineering practices, quality assurance, improving team velocity
  • Ability to execute and prioritize a number of tasks simultaneously, resolving inter-dependencies
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in arranging on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring of team members
  • Very good communication skills in English
