Escape Room Host

Job Overview
As an Escape Room Host, you will play a pivotal role in creating an engaging and immersive experience for our guests. You will be responsible for guiding participants through their escape room adventure, ensuring they have a memorable time while maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment. This position requires excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for interactive entertainment.

Duties

• Welcome guests upon arrival and provide an overview of the escape room experience.
• Facilitate the game by explaining rules, providing hints, and ensuring participants remain engaged throughout their adventure.
• Monitor game progress and assist players as needed while maintaining the integrity of the experience.
• Handle cash transactions and manage payments efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the escape room environment before and after each session.
• Address any guest inquiries or conflicts with professionalism and courtesy.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance overall guest satisfaction and improve operational efficiency.
• Utilize public speaking skills to engage guests and create an exciting atmosphere.
• Cleaning and all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous customer service or guest experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and writing skills — must type clear, accurate clues.
• Confident public speaking and comfort leading groups of all sizes.
• Strong conflict-resolution and interpersonal skills; experience with children is a plus.
• Basic technology proficiency — comfortable with computers, tablets, live camera systems, and software like Xola.
• Able to troubleshoot simple tech issues (timers, monitors, cameras) with guidance.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Evening and weekend availability required — these are our busiest times. MUST HAVE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY EVENINGS AVAILABLE.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and responsive with communication.
