Escape Room Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a dedicated and creative Escape Room Maintenance Technician to join our team and help us deliver exceptional experiences to our customers.

Job Description:

As an Escape Room Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our escape room experiences. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the physical and technical components of our escape rooms, ensuring that they function flawlessly. Your creative problem-solving skills, computer and technical expertise will be essential in maintaining the quality of our games.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot technical components such as locks, electronic gadgets, and audio-visual equipment within the escape rooms.
• Perform routine maintenance on props, puzzles, and equipment to prevent technical malfunctions during gameplay.
• Collaborate with the game design team to assure stable game functions at all times.
• Ensure the safety of customers by performing regular safety checks and maintaining emergency exit procedures.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs, and maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment.
• Continuously stay updated on best practices related to escape room design and maintenance.

Qualification Must-Have:

• Experience in custom low voltage systems, soldering, various sensors, smart locks, installing locks, etc.
• General handyman skills
• Knowledge and experience in building or configuring special FX, attractions, game shows, set design or smart homes
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for puzzles and challenges.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing scenarios.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of Indestroom games is a highly preffered.

Optional Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience with home hobby projects, carpentry or custom building projects
• Previous experience in maintenance, technical support, or a related field is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or relevant certifications are a plus.
• C++ (Arduino programming language), Python, C, Java for Raspberry Pi
• Creative thinking

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
