Responsibilities:
1. Manage Escrow Process: Oversee the entire escrow process from opening to closing, ensuring all required documentation is collected and processed accurately and on time.
2. Coordinate with Contacts: Communicate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction to coordinate the closing process and address any issues that may arise.
3. Review Documents: Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and title reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
4. Prepare Closing Documents: Prepare escrow instructions, settlement statements, and other closing documents in accordance with the terms of the purchase agreement and lender requirements.
5. Facilitate Final Disbursement: Coordinate the transfer of funds and ensure all parties receive payment according to the terms of the transaction.
6. Conduct Signings: Conduct signings with buyers, sellers, and other parties to review and sign closing documents and answer any questions they may have. Notarize. This includes going over the paperwork over the phone with them, if necessary.
7. Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulations governing escrow transactions, including the handling of funds and the protection of sensitive information.
8. Provide Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all parties involved in the transaction, addressing any concerns or inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
9. Resolve Discrepancies: Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the escrow process, working collaboratively with all the clients to reach a resolution, keeping management in the loop, if necessary.
10. Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of all escrow transactions, including documentation, correspondence, and financial records.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience working as an Escrow Officer or in a similar role within the real estate industry.
2. Strong understanding of real estate transactions, escrow processes, and documentation.
3. Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing escrow transactions.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients.
5. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
6. Proficient computer skills, including experience with escrow software (SoftPro & GreenFolders) and MS Office applications.
7. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
8. Professional demeanor and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
