DAY (United States of America)SUMMARY OF DUTIES
This position will work with all aspects of the organization as needed to advance Merit’s sustainability objectives and remain compliant with regulatory bodies/customer obligations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED
1. Manages sustainability stakeholders (working with EHS, Facilities, Compliance, and other teams as required to represent sustainability initiatives).
2. Oversees sustainability related ISO systems to include strategy and change management and integrates systems where possible.
3. Oversees communication channels through interactions and relationship building between orgs to foster innovation.
4. Defines and delivers outputs including monitoring and measuring results, auditing, and reporting.
5. Assists in responding to queries related to Merit’s sustainability practices.
6. Leads the sustainability environmental data management process, including the data collection system and analysis, as well as collaborating with site personnel and operations to ensure accuracy of the metrics.
7. Assists management in implementing environmental improvement programs to promote increased environmental performance.
8. Ensures systematic implementation of rigorous root cause analyses, corrective/preventive actions, and sharing of best practices to improve performance and reduce risks.
9. Supports and enables sustainability-focused programs and initiatives within the organization to drive progress and positive change towards the company’s climate goals.
10. Performs a variety of other tasks and related work, as required.
