Duties
Assist attorney with estate administration, including preparing probate filings, estate inventories, and accountings.
Draft legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, contracts, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
Support project management tasks related to estate cases by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings, and tracking case progress.
Perform thorough proofreading and transcription of legal documents to maintain high-quality standards.
Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information for estate matters while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
Assist with administrative functions such as data entry, filing, organizing client records, and managing incoming calls efficiently.
Corporate knowledge for filings preferred.
Qualifications
Proven paralegal experience or legal administrative experience with a focus on estate administration or related fields.
Strong knowledge of estate planning principles, probate procedures is highly desirable.
Familiarity with LexisNexis is preferred.
Excellent writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Exceptional proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy in all legal documents.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interview clients professionally while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Ability to handle clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, transcription, and general legal assistant duties efficiently.
