Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Estate Planning Attorney who will work directly with clients, in preparing and reviewing estate planning documents, and help guide families through both the planning and trust administration process. This role is ideal for someone who wants to practice law in a place where teamwork matters, systems matter, and clients truly come first.

Key Responsibilities

Estate Planning

  • Conduct client consultations and listening-focused meetings
  • Translate complex legal concepts into clear, client-friendly explanations
  • Review trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and related estate planning documents
  • Guide clients through asset alignment, funding instructions, and follow-up questions

Trust Administration

  • Advise successor trustees during post-death administration
  • Interpret trust provisions and explain legal duties in a clear, calm manner
  • Oversee preparation of required notices, deeds, and administrative documents

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Work closely with experienced legal assistants and support staff
  • Participate in a culture of kindness, humility, and mutual assistance
  • Follow established workflows and contribute to continuous improvement

Minimum Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
  • Experience in estate planning OR a strong interest and aptitude for learning it
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational habits

Estate planning or trust administration experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Training and mentorship are available.
