Mid-sized, reputable Chicago High Net Worth Estate Planning firm is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Associate to join their team (Fully REMOTE but MUST live in the State of Texas).
Seeking an attorney who has 5 + years experience in estate planning and estate administration matters for individuals, particularly professionals and business owners, integrating family considerations and sophisticated tax planning, as well as with providing general business advice. Looking for experience handling high net worth estates & complex estate & tax planning issues.
DUTIES INCLUDE: sophisticated estate planning matters including gift, estate, and related income tax planning, estate and trust administration, charitable planning and family business succession planning. administering, decanting and modifying complex trusts, and planning with respect to business interests, art and other special assets. Experience preparing gift, estate and/or fiduciary income tax returns is a plus. Having some general Corporate & Transactional experience on top of this would ideal.
Responsibilities are counseling individuals and families to help them achieve their wealth transfer objectives including: drafting traditional estate planning documents, including revocable trusts, wills, and powers of attorney, preparing complex estate and business planning instruments such as gift trusts, charitable trusts, foundation and nonprofit organizing materials, and operating agreements; also advise corporate fiduciaries regarding trust administration and construction issues and risks, research statutory, regulatory, and common law regarding property, tax, business, and estate planning issues, manage probate processes and other aspects of estate administration, and analyze income, gift, estate, and generation-skipping tax consequences of planning
Ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with high-net-worth estate and tax planning, and estate and trust administration, and meaningful privately held corporate experience.
Compensation based on experience ($150k - $220k)
