Estate Planning/Probate Legal Assistant: Keller Rohrback L.L.P., a Pacific Northwest based, nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a probate and estate planning legal assistant with a minimum of 5+ years of experience. The applicant should have a strong knowledge of probate and estate planning processes and procedures. The position will support three attorneys and requires working collaboratively with the Firm’s estate and business paralegals.
Qualified candidates must possess:
- The ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues, co-counsel, and clients.
- A strong knowledge of legal concepts, legal terminology, and legal processes.
- Proof-reading and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- The motivation to take the initiative to start projects and complete tasks independently, without needing constant direction or supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), legal research (Westlaw), document management tools (Dropbox, Google Docs), and E-filing systems.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and organizing meetings.
- Document Preparation: Drafting correspondence, proofreading legal documents, and preparing reports.
- File Management: Organizing and maintaining case files, client records, and legal documents.
- Client Communication: Answering phones, responding to client inquiries, and relaying messages.
- Research and Data Entry: Assisting with basic legal research and entering information into databases.
- Court Filings: Preparing and submitting documents to courts and other legal authorities.

Salary: $85,000 - $92,000 DOE
