Overview
Our law firm is growing, and we are seeking an experienced, self-driven Estate Planning/Succession Paralegal to support our dynamic and dedicated legal team. The ideal candidate for this position will be highly organized, detail oriented, a critical thinker, while possessing a high degree of compassion and excellent customer service skills to assist our clients navigate through the estate planning/succession process. At least two years of experience in the area of estate planning/successions is preferred as well as a paralegal certificate.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the client intake process by receiving incoming leads calls/inquiries to our law firm, scheduling consultations, compiling and organizing relevant estate planning/succession documents from potential new clients
- Prepare initial drafts with a high degree of accuracy all estate planning and succession documents, such as wills, trusts, financial and medical powers of attorney, acts of donation, petitions for probate, detailed descriptive lists, judgments of possession and other documents as assigned
- Provide exceptional administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling drop in and/or phone inquiries with care, patience, and professionalism
- Filing, e-recording various estate planning/succession documents with courts and tracking all pleadings in estate/succession matters
- Prepare final packages of estate planning and other transactional documents for clients
- Accurate, complete, and punctual timekeeping
Qualifications
- Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in estate planning or related area of law
- Knowledge of estate planning concepts including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and succession strategies
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong writing and proofreading skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Effective interviewing skills to gather client information accurately and efficiently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office 365, PDF-editing software, and ability to learn other related software
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive, protected personal information
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
