Esthetician and Wax Specialist

Lav and Lox Studio is looking for an experienced Waxing Specialist to join our team. We are a group of women who value a supportive, upbeat environment where we genuinely help each other succeed. Our studio offers a range of high-end services, including facials, lash extensions, lash lifts, and brows.

We are looking for a professional with at least 2 years of experience in full-body waxing who is detail-oriented and customer-focused. This is a commission-based position perfect for someone who is also interested in expanding their skill set—we are looking for a teammate who eventually wants to step into a paid lash apprenticeship to learn extensions.

Responsibilities

• Confidently perform full-body waxing services and brow treatments using both hard and soft wax.
• Prioritize the client’s comfort and experience from start to finish, ensuring they feel welcomed and cared for.
• Maintain strict sanitation and disinfection standards to ensure a safe, hygienic environment for both clients and the team.
• Educate clients on proper aftercare protocols to ensure long-lasting results and skin health.
• Support studio sales by confidently recommending retail products tailored to each client’s aftercare needs.
• Utilize Mangomint to efficiently schedule appointments, update client records, and process retail transactions.
• Maintain a positive, helpful attitude within our group to ensure the studio runs smoothly.

Skills

• Active Esthetician or Cosmetologist license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in full-body waxing.
• Proficiency in both hard and soft wax techniques.
• Strong brow shaping and symmetry skills.
• Ability to provide a high-end, comfortable client experience.
• Expertise in sanitation and maintaining a hygienic workspace.
• Experience with (or a quick ability to learn) Mangomint software.
• Comfortable educating clients on aftercare and recommending retail products.
• A desire to learn and grow, specifically moving into lash extensions.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable time management.
• A positive, collaborative attitude that contributes to our supportive team.
• Experience with lash lifts (a plus, but not required).
