Job Summary

LunaDerm Spa is seeking a skilled and passionate Esthetician / Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing team in Downey, CA.
We’re looking for someone who loves skincare, delivers exceptional guest service, and thrives in a professional, team-oriented environment.
This position combines hands-on aesthetic treatments with front desk and customer service responsibilities — ideal for someone who enjoys both client care and day-to-day spa operations.

ResponsibilitiesAesthetic Services

• Perform professional skincare treatments including facials, chemical peels, hydrofacials, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and other advanced procedures.
• Provide brow and lash services such as laminations, lifts, and tinting.
• Conduct waxing services (facial, body, or Brazilian) safely and efficiently.
• Perform detailed client consultations and create personalized skincare plans.
• Educate clients on homecare products and support retail sales.
• Stay updated with current industry trends, techniques, and new products.

Front Desk & Guest Services

• Greet every guest warmly and provide a welcoming, professional experience.
• Manage appointments using Square Appointments, including booking, rescheduling, confirming, and checking clients in/out.
• Handle phone calls, messages, and DMs in a professional and timely manner.
• Process payments, deposits, and gift card transactions accurately using Square POS.
• Promote services, specials, and memberships to enhance client retention.
• Assist with retail displays, inventory restocking, and daily reporting.

Teamwork & Cleanliness

• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work environment.
• Assist with daily laundry, sanitization, and restocking of treatment rooms.
• Support coworkers during busy periods and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
• Participate in opening and closing duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Requirements

• Valid California Esthetician License or Student ID (if currently in school).
• Previous experience performing skincare treatments and/or working in a spa or salon environment.
• Knowledge of Square POS and Square Appointments preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Professional, punctual, and reliable.
• Passion for skincare, wellness, and helping clients feel confident.
• Must be able to work Saturdays and occasional evenings.
• Social Media Friendly
