Esthetician/Beauty Consultant Position

We are looking for an Esthetician/Beauty Advisor with retail experience to offer personalized services to our customers.

Esthetician/Beauty Advisor responsibilities include performing facials, chemical Peels, microdermabrasion, makeup application, wax, makeup classes, suggesting products that meet clients’ needs, product application methods and price. To be successful in this role, you are customer-service oriented and are open to learning.

Responsibilities

• Providing Facial treatments, Chemical peels, waxing, and brow services.
• Adhering to appointments in a timely manner by monitoring time schedule.
• Welcoming clients in a warm, friendly manner, accompanying them to and from treatment rooms, and thanking them sincerely on departure.
• Interviewing clients to obtain information about contraindications, and examining skin to evaluate the suitability of treatments.
• Advising clients on skincare and recommending suitable treatments and home care regimens.
• Maintaining product knowledge to promote and sell studio services and retail products.
• Adhering to esthetics policies pertaining to chemical usage, cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance of equipment.
• Demonstrate proper use of makeup and skin care products
• Cross-sell beauty products, when appropriate (e.g. serums, cleansers, body care products)
• Identify customer needs and recommend cosmetics and skin care products based on their preferences
• Help clients find products they’re looking for in our studio
• Ensure proper presentation of products on shelves
• Explain to customers how to use products they’re interested in buying
• Advise customers on how to take care of their skin
• Inform customers on prices and special offers
• Replenish stock as needed

Skills

• Licensed Esthetician in the state of NJ - 1 years minimum
• Makeup Artist Experience
• Body Sculpting Experience is a plus
• Customer service experience in retail stores is a plus
• Knowledge of skin care and makeup products
• Ability to demonstrate and promote beauty products on the spot (e.g. how to apply face creams)
• Understanding of which products suit different skin types
• Ability to work with other team members
• Detail-oriented and artistic - in the beauty industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Impeccable care for clientele - this is a must
• Outstanding people skills and a warm, friendly manner.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations
• Sales experience/willingness to learn

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
