Texas Critical Systems (TCS Mechanical) is a mechanical and plumbing contractor established in 2017. We specialize in technical piping and HVAC systems for advanced manufacturing clients including Samsung Semiconductor and the University of Texas.
We are hiring a Estimating Coordinator to support our Estimating department:
Tasks / Responsibilities
- Create new bid folders with all relevant information for new jobs being pursued.
- Create a custom bid solicitation sheet where we list what we are soliciting for and when we need a quote by.
- Solicit vendors and subcontractors for new jobs.
- Track / log which vendors / sales representatives we solicit and when we solicit them.
- Update vendors and subcontractors via email of all addenda or changes to a current bid project.
- Document when each vendor and sub-contractor has been sent a solicitation or addenda.
- Take weekly estimating meeting minutes.
- Keep estimating board updated with projects bid dates and times.
- Conform documents if necessary whenever an addendum is released.
- Support bid preparation and proposal submission for clients.
- Create / update excel estimating bid tracking spreadsheet with bid dates, customer, pricing, win/loss, total dollar value bid to date. Etc.
- Order supplies for estimators
- Schedule / book meetings, flights, hotels, trainings, etc.
- Expand / update vendor and sub-contractor contact list.
- Ensure we have the correct insurance coverage for jobs we’re bidding.
- Update labor rates for all trades and store in shared folder.
- Assist in event planning/coordinating for TCS related activities
Requirements
- Basic understanding of construction

- Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications
- Proficient in / basic knowledge of Microsoft word, Microsoft excel, Bluebeam Revu, Outlook
- Other duties as assigned
- Adaptable to new software and tools
- Professional and dependable work ethic
- High school or GED Equivalent
- Ability to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, twist, bend, and lift 20 pounds
- Must be able to pass extensive background check and drug test
- Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
- This is a full time position based in Bastrop, Texas with travel to jobsite locations as required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
