Job Title: Estimation Engineer
Job Summary:
The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for construction or fit-out projects. The role involves analyzing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine costs, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze project drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings.
- Prepare and submit tender documents and proposals within deadlines.
- Identify project risks and cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for accurate pricing.
- Prepare value engineering proposals to optimize costs.
- Maintain a database of costs, suppliers, and historical data.
- Support post-award activities such as budget preparation and cost control.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in estimation (preferably in fit-out or construction).
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and pricing.
- Proficiency in:
- MS Excel (advanced level)
- AutoCAD (for quantity take-off)
- Estimation software (preferred)
- Familiarity with UAE market rates and suppliers is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in interior fit-out, commercial, retail, or hospitality projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
