Estimation Engineer (Electrical)

We are Hiring an Estimation Engineer – Electrical to join our Power Distribution Team. The role involves preparing competitive bids and cost estimates for 11kV & 33kV MV/LV power distribution projects, with strong experience in underground cable laying works, substations, and associated civil works, in compliance with local utility authority standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs for 11kV/33kV projects including underground cable laying, substations, and civil works
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and technical proposals for cable laying (trenching, ducting, HDD), cables, accessories, transformers, and civil works
• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings, SLDs, and layouts
• Analyze cable routing, installation methods, and site constraints
• Prepare rate analysis for materials, labor, and equipment
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations for inputs and compliance
• Evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations and ensure competitiveness
• Support bid clarifications, submissions, and negotiations
• Maintain cost databases and benchmarks
• Contribute to winning strategies through competitive pricing, value engineering, market benchmarking, and risk/opportunity analysis

Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 4–7 years’ experience in MV/LV estimation (11kV & 33kV)
• Strong knowledge of underground cable laying works and utility standards (DEWA, FEWA, SEWA, ADDC)
• Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD; CCS Candy is a plus
• Strong analytical and commercial skills

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
