Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Home Automation Estimation & Design Engineer to join our growing smart technology team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing techno-commercial estimations, designing integrated smart home and building automation systems, and coordinating with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

The candidate should possess strong technical expertise in home automation systems, ELV solutions, system integration, and project estimation for residential, commercial, hospitality, and luxury villa projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimations, BOQs, and techno-commercial proposals for home automation and ELV projects.
• Design and develop smart home automation solutions including:
• Lighting Control Systems
• HVAC Integration
• Curtain & Blind Control
• Audio-Video Systems
• CCTV & Surveillance
• Access Control & Intercom
• Networking & Wi-Fi Solutions
• Review tender documents, specifications, and project drawings to prepare accurate quotations and technical submissions.
• Develop system schematics, layouts, riser diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, interior designers, and project execution teams.
• Select suitable automation products and technologies based on project requirements and budgets.
• Conduct site surveys and provide technical recommendations and value engineering solutions.
• Support procurement and project execution teams with technical clarifications and system integration requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar local authority standards and project specifications.
• Assist in troubleshooting design and installation-related issues during project execution.
• Stay updated with the latest smart home technologies, IoT trends, and automation platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or related field.
• 3–8+ years of experience in Home Automation, ELV Systems, or Smart Building Solutions.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Smart Home Automation
• Lighting Control Systems
• BMS Integration
• Audio-Video Systems
• CCTV & Security Systems
• Access Control & Intercom
• Structured Cabling & Networking
• Experience in estimation, BOQ preparation, and technical proposal development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and related design software.
• Familiarity with automation brands such as:
• KNX
• Crestron
• Control4
• Lutron
• HDL
• ABB
• Schneider Electric
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• GCC project experience, especially in Qatar or UAE, will be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• KNX Certification or equivalent automation certifications.
• Experience in luxury villas, high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial automation projects.
• Knowledge of IoT integration and multi-system interoperability.
• Familiarity with Qatar construction standards and authority approvals.

Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR7,000.00 per month
