Estimation Engineer - Power

We are looking for an Estimation/Tendering Engineer – Transmission to join our team. The role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates and technical/commercial proposals for transmission line and substation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings related to transmission projects (HV, EHV, substations, overhead lines, underground cables).
• Develop detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and technical/commercial proposals within given timelines.
• Work with procurement and suppliers to obtain quotations, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Identify potential risks, alternatives, and value engineering opportunities to strengthen bids.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams to define project scope and deliverables.
• Participate in client meetings, site visits, and clarification sessions as required.
• Support negotiations and post-bid discussions alongside the tendering team.
• Stay updated on market trends, authority requirements, and material pricing.
• Ensure all estimates are aligned with safety, quality, and contractual standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–6 years of proven experience in estimation and tendering for transmission and substation projects (UAE/GCC experience preferred).
• Solid understanding of transmission systems (132kV, 220kV, 400kV) and local authority regulations (DEWA, TRANSCO, SEWA, etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation tools.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
