Estimation Engineer -Swimming Pool

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (MEP).
  • Experience: 2–5 years of proven estimation experience specifically in aquatic construction, high-end landscaping, or water features.
  • Software Proficiency: Mastery of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and specialized estimation/take-off tools.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of swimming pool hydraulics, waterproofing methods, and industry safety codes.
  • Attention to Detail: High capability to spot discrepancies in structural designs and specifications to avoid material shortages
  • Familiarity with local construction codes, health & safety standards, and regulatory compliance related to pool construction.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Key Responsibility:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for swimming pool projects, including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor work, and overheads.
  • Analyze architectural drawings, structural designs, and specifications to prepare accurate BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
  • Prepare and submit tenders, bids, and proposals in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure best pricing and quality.
  • Develop preliminary budgets for projects during conceptual stages and update them as the design evolves.
  • Advise the sales or business development team on cost-effective design options and value engineering.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative construction methods or materials.
  • Collaborate with design teams, engineers, and clients to ensure all project requirements are accurately captured.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client briefings when required.
  • Maintain regular communication with project managers and procurement to ensure cost compliance during execution.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, quotations, and bid documentation.
  • Review project progress and actual costs to adjust future estimates and improve accuracy.
  • Prepare post-bid analysis and project cost reconciliation reports.
