Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimation Manager to lead the estimation and tendering process for construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing bid submissions, analyzing project requirements, and coordinating with internal departments, subcontractors, and suppliers.
The candidate should possess strong technical, commercial, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders and meet strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the complete tendering and estimation process.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and project teams for accurate project costing.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate commercial offers.
- Analyze project risks and opportunities during bid preparation.
- Prepare technical and commercial bid submissions.
- Conduct value engineering and cost optimization exercises.
- Maintain estimation databases, historical cost records, and benchmarking information.
- Participate in client meetings, tender clarifications, and negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and client requirements.
- Support management with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in estimation and tendering within the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction market rates and project execution.
- Proficiency in estimation software, MS Excel, and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong understanding of contracts, BOQs, and tender documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure, airport, commercial, or high-rise projects.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and UAE authority standards.
- PMP certification or relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
