PREFERABLY: CIVIL ENGINEER
1. Tender Review & Analysis
- Review tender documents including drawings, specifications, BOQs, conditions of contract, and client requirements.
- Identify technical, commercial, and contractual risks associated with the tender.
- Prepare tender queries and clarifications for submission to the client/consultant.
2. Tender Preparation
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and finance teams to gather all necessary inputs.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and indirect costs.
- Develop technical proposals, methodology statements, execution plans, and preliminary schedules.
- Ensure the tender complies with all requirements and is submitted within the specified deadline.
3. Costing & Estimation
- Prepare and analyze cost breakdowns for civil, structural, geotechnical, MEP, or specialized works.
- Request and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Evaluate pricing competitiveness and propose pricing strategies.
- Prepare the final tender price, cost summaries, and cash flow projections.
4. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate internally with design, procurement, operations, planning, and finance departments.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors during tender preparation.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarification sessions.
5. Tender Submission
- Prepare complete tender submissions including technical and commercial packages.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, consistent, and professionally presented.
- Submit the tender electronically or in hard copy as per client requirements.
6. Post-Tender Activities
- Prepare responses for post-tender clarifications.
- Support management during negotiation meetings with clients.
- Update tender status reports, win/loss analysis, and maintain tender documentation.
- Participate in handover meetings to transfer awarded projects to the execution team.
7. Market & Technical Knowledge
- Stay updated with market prices, vendor rates, and industry trends.
- Maintain a database of suppliers, subcontractors, material prices, and equipment costs.
- Stay informed about new technologies, construction methods, and engineering standards.
