Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Estimator responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction tenders. The role involves evaluating materials, labour, and project costs, while working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to develop competitive tender submissions and support successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to prepare detailed cost estimates
• Analyze labour, material, equipment, and subcontractor requirements for accurate tender pricing
• Undertake detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and conduct site measurements when required
• Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for tender submissions
• Develop and submit tender proposals in accordance with client requirements and deadlines
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors to refine estimates and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Conduct site visits to gather project information and assess conditions impacting pricing and execution
• Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors while ensuring quality and compliance standards
• Monitor market trends, material costs, and industry regulations to maintain competitive and accurate estimates
• Track project costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with tender budgets
• Assist in contract negotiations, including terms and pricing discussions with clients and subcontractors
• Maintain organized records of tenders, estimates, quotations, and project correspondence
• Provide ongoing commercial and cost support from pre-construction through project completion

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator, including at least 3 years of UAE experience
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, cost estimation, and tendering procedures
• Experience with residential and commercial construction projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
• Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and tendering requirements
• Proficiency in estimating and measurement software
• Strong working knowledge of PlanSwift, AutoCAD/CAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience using tendering software and cost management systems
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Professional certifications related to estimating or construction management are an advantage
