Job Summary:
The Estimator is a key member of our team, responsible for preparing pricing for custom and complex signage projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, understanding material and labor requirements, and collaborating with our design and production teams to ensure timely and profitable project delivery. A keen eye for detail and strong knowledge of the sign fabrication and installation process are essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze Project Specifications: Review blueprints, technical drawings, and proposals to understand the full scope of work and project requirements.
• Calculate Costs: Determine all costs associated with a project, including materials, labor, equipment, and installation.
• Generate Bids and Proposals: Prepare and present detailed, accurate, and professional cost estimates and bids to both clients and the front office team.
• Manage Vendor and Supplier Relations: Obtain and evaluate quotes from material suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with the design team to ensure project specifications are clear and with the production and installation teams to confirm feasibility and timelines.
• Track and Maintain Data: Manage and maintain records of estimated costs, bid status, and project performance to inform future estimates.
• Communicate with Clients: Interface with clients to clarify project details and explain estimate rationales.

Job Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in signage or construction estimating.
• Strong knowledge of sign fabrication methods, materials (vinyl, aluminum, acrylic, electrical components), and installation practices.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical documents, and design files.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, vendors, and clients.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with graphics or design software like CorelDRAW or Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience with SquareCoil software preferred.
• Familiarity with local zoning ordinances and permitting processes.
