Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator – Aluminum & Glazing (Façade Systems) to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for façade projects across the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of aluminum and glazing systems, excellent analytical skills, and proven experience supporting tendering, commercial evaluation, and project handover activities. This role requires close coordination with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to ensure precise and timely tender submissions.

Key ResponsibilitiesEstimation & Costing

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for aluminum and glazing façade systems, including materials, manpower, equipment, preliminaries, and overheads.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and façade drawings.

Tender & Document Review

• Review tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.
• Identify discrepancies, risks, and ambiguities, and raise necessary clarifications during the tender stage.

Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination

• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date pricing for aluminum profiles, glass, accessories, hardware, and installation works.
• Analyze and evaluate quotations for technical compliance, accuracy, and competitiveness.

Proposal Preparation

• Prepare complete technical and commercial tender submissions, including pricing breakdowns, clarifications, alternatives, methodologies, and project timelines.
• Develop cost summaries, comparative statements, and value engineering proposals where applicable.

Technical & Design Support

• Coordinate with engineering and design teams to review drawings and propose cost-effective or alternative façade solutions.
• Support technical discussions and meetings with consultants and clients during the tender and post-tender stages.

Project Handover Support

• Provide detailed cost breakdowns and budgets to the project execution team upon award.
• Assist in evaluating variations, change orders, and updated cost implications during project execution.

Risk & Market Analysis

• Assess risks related to design changes, material price fluctuations, logistics, and site conditions.
• Stay updated on façade technologies, materials, suppliers, and pricing trends in the UAE and GCC markets.

Internal Coordination

• Work closely with estimation, design, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategies and project objectives.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of estimation experience in aluminum, glazing, or façade systems within the UAE or GCC region.
• Proven experience handling residential, commercial, and mixed-use façade projects.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of aluminum systems, façade configurations, glazing specifications, and façade hardware.
• Proficient in MS Excel and estimation/measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings accurately.

Soft Skills

• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
