Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

Minimum 3 to 4 years of Interior Fitout and Joinery experience in the United Arab Emirates

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed BOQ and cost estimates for interior fit-out and joinery works including civil, MEP, and FF&E components.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and client requirements to identify cost impacts.
• Prepare quantity take-offs using AutoCAD and/or PDF markup tools.
• Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and accurate scope matching.
• Develop cost breakdowns and pricing structures for tender submissions.
• Prepare value engineering options and alternatives when required.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project management teams to align technical and commercial expectations.
• Conduct site visits (as needed) to assess project complexities and validation of quantities.
• Monitor market trends, material prices, and labor costs to keep estimates up to date.
• Support in tender clarification meetings, negotiations, and post-award handovers.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Minimum 3 to 4+ years of experience in interior fit-out and joinery estimation within the UAE.
• Strong technical understanding of fit-out details including finishes, furniture, partitions, ceilings, and millwork.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, Bluebeam or Planswift (or similar take-off tools).
• Knowledge of local market suppliers, subcontractors, and pricing trends.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Attributes

• UAE Driving License
• Knowledge of authority regulations (e.g., ADM, Civil Defense) is a plus.
