Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator, Scheduler & Purchaser to join our team. This person will play a key role in supporting project planning, budgeting, and execution. This position is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates, converting budgets into labor schedules and material takeoffs, coordinating project schedules, and sourcing materials at the best value. The position works closely with Project Managers to track budgets, maintain project schedules, and ensure timely, cost-effective purchasing for all current and future projects.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Budget Support
- Process recent budgets and convert financial data into labor hours and cost ranges.
- Assist in developing project estimates, including labor, square foot costs, and unit pricing.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to track budget performance and adjust as needed.
- Analyze costs in real time to support accurate future budgeting.
- Review past projects to understand sequencing and inform schedule development.
Scheduling
- Work with Project Managers to build and maintain schedules for upcoming and active projects, ensuring that task dependencies—such as material procurement timelines, labor availability, and the completion of preceding project phases—are clearly identified and integrated into the scheduling process.
- Update schedules based on field feedback, material delivery timelines, and project needs.
Purchasing
- Source materials at the best available price, including specialty items.
- Obtain bids for estimates and ongoing projects.
- Develop vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
- Support project performance by ensuring materials are purchased and delivered on time.
Project Support
- Provide operational support once project templates and workflows are established.
- Assist with documentation, tracking, and communication across projects.
- Manage operations for smaller projects.
Qualifications
- Experience in estimating, scheduling, purchasing, or related construction/project management roles.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret budgets, drawings, and project scopes.
- Proficiency with scheduling tools or construction management software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
