Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimator – Structural Steel to prepare accurate cost estimates for structural steel projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of steel fabrication, erection, and construction methodologies, with the ability to analyze drawings, specifications, and BOQs to support competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel fabrication and erection projects
• Analyze tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents
• Perform quantity take-offs for steel structures, connections, bolts, coatings, and accessories
• Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and procurement teams for cost inputs
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Prepare material, labor, equipment, and overhead cost breakdowns
• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
• Assess project risks and include contingencies where required
• Support tender submissions, clarifications, and post-tender negotiations
• Maintain historical cost data and pricing databases

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering
• 5–10 years of experience in structural steel estimation
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, erection methods, and industry standards
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools (Excel, AutoCAD, Tekla – advantage)
• Good understanding of UAE / GCC construction market and pricing
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with large commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with international standards (AISC, ASTM, BS, EN)
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,500.00 per month
