Estimator/Designer – Fire Alarm & Life Safety Systems

E2 Fire & Security LLC is seeking an individual to fill the role of estimator and designer of Fire Alarm and Life-Safety Systems. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience with Fire Alarm, Entry, Access Control, Video Surveillance or related low-voltage systems.

E2 is open to a hybrid work situation after training period, with the employee working 1-2 days per week at home if desired. Related work experience may substitute for direct experience. E2 will train the right individual with a design background.

Estimating Duties
- Work with management and salespeople to layout code-compliant systems for bidding purposes, utilizing design software to expedite completion
- Compile quantities and necessary components on spreadsheets for pricing purposes
- Work with customers and contractors to obtain missing information and confirm design preferences
- Continuously learn new code requirements and engineering advances, applying concepts into estimates to promote system performance and avoid potential losses

Designer Duties
- Utilize CAD software to produce working drawings for installation, bringing plans through the submittal process to approval from engineering and review personnel
- Compile engineered submittals to accompany drawings, taking into account load calculations to meet both manufacturer and code requirements
- Assist management and salespeople with designing working drawings to convey intent of security and life-safety systems, assisting both inside and outside of the company

Position Includes
- Convenient office location in Waukesha Wisconsin
- Full-time, 40-hour work week with flexible start and finish times
- Health and dental insurance available after 90 days, with company contribution
- Paid Vacation available after 90 days

- Competitive Salary: starting range $25- $32 per hour, depending on experience
