Estimator/Procurement Specialist:
Delaware Valley Paving is a national parking lot construction and maintenance company serving commercial and industrial clients across the country. As a family-owned organization, we are committed to developing our people, strengthening leadership, and delivering consistent, high-quality results through disciplined processes and a strong company culture. To support our growth, we are looking to add an Estimator/Procurement specialist to our staff in Phoenixville and Tampa, Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret plans at all stages of development, from schematic and budgetary designs to fully detailed 100% construction documents.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Evaluate and qualify vendors and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project requirements and quality standards.
- Analyze and compile data affecting costs, including labor rates, materials, equipment, and location factors, to produce precise and timely estimates.
- Negotiate contracts and manage project-related portals and documentation.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, maintaining high standards of organization and time management.
- Review project scope, specifications, and potential risk factors to determine bid feasibility.
- Oversee special assignments and provide support for strategic initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Civil Engineering, or Project Management (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of construction industry experience with proven project management capability.
- Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex project documents and specifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and team members.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering effective, persuasive project proposals and presentations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting deadlines.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
