Responsibilities:
1. Digital Takeoffs: Utilize digital takeoff software such as STACK, PlanSwift, or similar tools to perform quantity takeoffs from project plans and specifications accurately.
2. Vendor Selection & Addition to Pipeline: Identify potential vendors and subcontractors through research and networking, evaluate their capabilities, qualifications, and pricing, and add them to the Pipeline software for future projects. Utilize Pipeline to manage vendor relationships and track communication and transactions.
3. Purchasing Procurement Through Entire Contract: Oversee the procurement process from project initiation to completion using Pipeline software. Ensure timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services throughout the entire contract duration. Collaborate with project managers to align procurement activities with project schedules and milestones.
4. Cost Estimation: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
5. Bid Preparation: Develop detailed bid proposals based on project requirements and cost estimates, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with project specifications.
6. Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Utilize Pipeline software to communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other vendors to obtain competitive pricing, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
7. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project plans and procurement activities, assess their potential impact on costs and schedules, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
8. Value Engineering: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to find cost-effective solutions and alternatives without compromising quality.
9. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process, track expenses, and provide regular updates to stakeholders to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
10. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, change orders, and other project-related documents using Pipeline software to ensure compliance and facilitate project analysis and reporting.
Skills:

Construction Knowledge: Understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards to accurately estimate costs and evaluate supplier offerings.

Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis to optimize purchasing decisions and project profitability.

Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in digital takeoff software such as Pipeline, STACK, PlanSwift, or similar tools for accurate quantity takeoffs, as well as spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Relevant work experience in construction estimating, purchasing, or procurement management.
- Certification such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) may be advantageous.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using construction estimating software such as Procore, PlanSwift, or Bluebeam, as well as bid management software like Pipeline, STACK, or similar tools. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, spreadsheet modeling, and reporting capabilities.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
