We’re looking for an ETL & Healthcare Data Integration Engineer who can build, maintain, and improve data pipelines that move clinical and administrative healthcare data across systems. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys integration work, research/problem-solving, and working across formats and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and support ETL pipelines for healthcare data ingestion, normalization, validation, and delivery.
Work with healthcare data exchange standards including:
HL7 v2, HL7 v3
FHIR (R4 preferred)
CQM / eCQM, MIPS reporting formats and workflows
Build integrations between EMRs/EHRs, billing systems, HIEs, labs, and third-party partners via APIs, SFTP, flat files, and message queues.
Parse, transform, map, and reconcile clinical data (demographics, encounters, problems/diagnoses, orders, results, insurance, etc.).
Write and optimize SQL queries, stored logic, and schemas to support analytics and integration workflows.
Debug real-world data issues (missing fields, duplicates, invalid dates, inconsistent coding, broken messages) and implement durable fixes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions.
Contribute to R&D efforts: evaluate tools/libraries, propose architecture improvements, and build POCs.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong experience with ETL development and data transformation workflows.
Solid understanding of healthcare interoperability standards:
HL7 v2 (required), familiarity with v3 is a plus
FHIR (resources, bundles, APIs)
CQM / MIPS concepts and reporting data structures
Working experience with Python (required); PHP familiarity is a plus.
Strong database skills:
Comfortable with MySQL/Postgres (or similar)
Writing complex joins, indexing, performance tuning, data quality checks
Experience with integration methods:
REST APIs, file-based exchange (CSV/JSON/XML), SFTP, webhooks
Strong troubleshooting mindset and ability to work with messy production data.
Nice to Have:
Experience with integration engines (e.g., Mirth / NextGen Connect).
Knowledge of coding systems: ICD-10, CPT, LOINC, SNOMED.
Familiarity with HIPAA/security best practices and audit-friendly logging.
Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs250,000.00 - Rs600,000.00 per month
