EV Vehicle Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicles (EVs).
  • Inspect and test high-voltage battery systems and related components.
  • Diagnose electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults using specialized diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain and repair electric drivetrains, inverters, charging systems, and power electronics.
  • Conduct software updates and calibration procedures as required.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing.
  • Document all repairs, inspections, and service activities accurately.
  • Coordinate with technical support teams and manufacturers when needed.
  • Support pre-delivery inspections and vehicle quality checks.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an automotive technician, with EV experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems and EV battery technologies.
  • Experience working with diagnostic tools and automotive software systems.
  • Understanding of electric drivetrains, BMS (Battery Management Systems), and charging systems.
  • High-voltage certification (preferred).
  • Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills in English
