Job Summary:

We are in search of a part-time Evaluation Coordinator to work 1-4 DAYS per month, with a guaranteed pay of $150 per day of work and mileage reimbursement at a generous rate. This position is for assignments on Mondays through Fridays and requires that you are flexible to accept those shifts with approximately 20 days of notice. You must be available between 8 am-5 pm on the day of an assignment. Even if your workday lasts only a few hours, you are still guaranteed $150. This is the PERFECT opportunity for an online student or a parent looking for a bit of work on an as-needed basis. As our company grows, there may be the opportunity for more shifts, but this job is not a track to a full-time position. We are a small team and seek individuals who are maximally flexible and committed.

Your role would be welcoming scheduled patients to one of our satellite offices (usually 1-2 patients, no more than 5 patients per day). You would be administering paperwork and assisting the physician with simple administrative tasks related to the patients that day. You would have downtime to engage in your own quiet activities (study, read, computer use) as you oversee the reception area, scan completed patient paperwork, and greet incoming patients while the doctor privately interviews patients.

We have numerous offices in Southern California and have recently expanded to Northern California. We currently have 5 locations that you would help cover: Alameda, Berkeley, Concord, Oakland, & San Francisco. We provide mileage at a generous rate and parking reimbursement (if applicable).

Email and text will be used as a primary communication source during employment (you will be provided with an email account). You will need to bring your own laptop computer to the site but will be provided a scanner and Wi-Fi. Therefore, home online access, a personal cell phone, a laptop computer, and solid computer skills are required to apply for this position.

This is the perfect opportunity to get your feet wet in medicine and legal services, with minimal time commitment and the possibility of mentorship in the medical-legal field. You do not need to be certified in medical assisting to apply (but medical assistants are, of course, welcomed!).

*Applications submitted without including your Resume AND responses to the Application Questions will not be considered.*

Requirements:
High School diploma
Fluent English proficiency in spoken and written word, including proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clear language
Home internet access
Reliable cell phone and laptop computer
Comfort with using email as a primary source of communication; excellent email and text etiquette
Comfort with using a scanner attached to a laptop computer (you will be trained on use, but general computer skills are important)
Reliable transportation and willingness to commute to sites as described above (preference will be given to sites closest to your home to minimize drive time)
Excellent people skills
Organization, responsibility and attention to detail
Enthusiasm for learning
Professionalism in appearance, language and behavior

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $150.00 per day
