Position
The Evening Logistics Supervisor oversees evening courier operations to ensure accurate, compliant, and on-time transport of medical specimens. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this role manages evening Couriers and Leads, owns route coverage and schedules, partners closely with Dispatch and the Day Logistics Supervisor, and provides hands-on support (including STAT and airport runs) when needed. The supervisor also assists with fleet coordination and quality/audit reporting across logistics.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, approximately 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM MDT (occasional weekend or off-hour needs).
• W2 hourly Team Members receive an 8% shift differential for hours worked between 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., as well as for all hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays.
• This position includes both in-office and on-the-road responsibilities.
• A 30-minute unpaid meal break is provided during non-peak hours.
• The role may require addressing operational issues before or after scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the evening courier function, including scheduling, coverage, and performance management.
• Supervise and coach Couriers and Leads; provide ongoing training and conduct team meetings and one-on-ones.
• Coordinate with Dispatch on tracking, stop-related inquiries, route changes, and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with the Day Logistics Supervisor on flagged/incident reports, air shipments, fleet management, and QA/auditing.
• Review and approve timecards, time-off requests, and expense reports in Paycom.
• Run routes as needed to provide backup support for call-outs, STATs, or overflow deliveries.
• Monitor courier cutoffs and route completion to ensure timely handoffs for ground and air shipments.
• Audit Dispatch, Courier, Incident, and Error Reports to identify trends and improve performance.
• Partner cross-functionally to address courier errors, missed pickups, and quality issues.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and professional service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years as a Lead or Supervisor in logistics, transportation, or courier operations.
• 2+ years courier or delivery driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Reliable personal transportation with active insurance.
• Active smartphone with sufficient data plan.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with route, fleet, and tracking tools, and basic office software.
• Comfortable driving at night and in varied weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and move specimen containers or supplies as needed.
• Frequent driving, entering/exiting vehicles, and periods of standing or walking.
• Must be able to perform tasks that require repetitive motion and physical flexibility.
• Tolerance for varying environmental conditions, including outdoor temperatures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Paycom (or similar HRIS/timekeeping).
• Experience coordinating air cargo/airline specimen shipments.
• Prior fleet oversight and/or audit/quality reporting experience.
• Experience leading cross-regional logistics teams.

Job Type: Full-time, W2 (Hourly, Non-Exempt)
Salary: $24/hour, plus evening shift differential as noted.

Draper, UT: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)
