Supplemental Evening Route Relief

This position is for evening route relief and is intended as supplemental income for cargo van owners who already have daytime work.

This is not full-time employment and is not intended to replace a primary job or route.

What You’re Being Hired For (Primary Role)

  • Evening route relief coverage
  • Routes are scheduled based on coverage needs
  • Drivers typically cover up to 1–3 evenings per week
  • Route start times fall between 7:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Route runs last approximately 3 to 7.5 hours

Routes & Flat Pay

  • Portland ↔ The Dalles (round trip): $150 flat
  • Portland ↔ Seattle (round trip): $285 flat
  • Flat-rate compensation only
  • No hourly or mileage pay

Optional Additional Opportunity (Not Required)

  • Separate from route relief, drivers may choose to make themselves available for on-call evening coverage
  • On-call availability is optional, not guaranteed, and not required for this role
  • Availability windows (if chosen) are discussed after onboarding
  • This operation runs 24 hours, but this role is evening-focused only

Vehicle & Insurance Requirements

  • Driver must supply their own full-size cargo van
  • Vehicle should be 10 years old or newer
  • Personal auto insurance required
  • Commercial insurance is not required, but drivers who carry it may access additional opportunities as contracts expand

Contractor Status

  • 1099 independent contractor
  • Drivers manage their own expenses and availability

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $150.00 - $285.00 per year
