Event and FOH Lead Assistant (Seasonal / Event Based)

Overview
The Stagecoach Inn — a beautifully restored 1747 inn in the Hudson Valley — is hiring an Assistant Event Lead to assist running the floor on weddings, private celebrations, and corporate gatherings. This person will report to the Event Lead, and will serve and bartend during events. Candidate will step in as the Event Lead managing and overseeing the event team when multiple events are scheduled on the same day.

On Fridays and Saturdays, when our restaurant is open, you'll also provide coverage as Front of House Lead when needed.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of hospitality experience, with at least 1 year in a lead, captain, or supervisory role on weddings or full-service events, and 1 year in a front of house server/bartender position.
  • A natural host's instinct: warm, gracious, calm under pressure, professional in every interaction.
  • Sharp attention to detail and a love of well-executed timing.
  • Comfort leading a team of 3 to 6 staff through a fast-paced service window.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Fluency with banquet event orders (BEOs), floor plans, and standard hospitality service sequences.

Required

  • Reliable personal transportation. The Inn is in the Hudson Valley; consistent on-time arrival is non-negotiable.
  • Weekend, evening, and holiday availability. Most events fall on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, plus seasonal holidays.
  • Ability to be on your feet for 8–12 hour shifts and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
