Event & Banquet Server – Hospitality Stylist

Hospitality Stylist

Part-Time | Weekends + Occasional Weekday Events | Phoenix, AZ

The Role

The Little Play Avenue is Phoenix’s premier destination for children’s celebrations, luxury birthday parties, and private family events. Families trust us with milestone moments, and our Hospitality Stylists are the reason those moments feel seamless, joyful, and unforgettable.

We’re hiring 3–4 Hospitality Stylists to be the day-of heartbeat of our celebrations. This is a hands-on, high-energy role where you’ll style the space, serve guests with grace, and conduct every detail of the event from setup to the last goodbye. Someone else handles the bookings and the logistics. Your job is the experience itself.

Most jobs are about punching a clock. This one is about craft. You’ll work events where parents trust us with their most important milestones, first birthdays, fifth birthdays, family gatherings, and you’ll be the difference between “that was nice” and “that was magical.”

Who You Are

You believe true hospitality lives in the tiniest details. You’re the kind of person who sees a crumb on the floor and sweeps it up before anyone notices, who straightens a chair so the room feels instantly more inviting, who can make a celebration feel like magic just by the way you move through it.

For you, cleaning isn’t a chore. It’s an act of care. Presentation isn’t about perfection. It’s about signaling to families: we’ve thought of everything, you can relax.

You’re the friend who makes sure everyone has a plate before you sit down. The one who offers to carry a stroller up the stairs without being asked. The person who bakes cookies for someone new on the block and remembers how their neighbor takes their coffee. You notice what others don’t, and you act on it, not because anyone told you to, but because it feels right.

Service, to you, isn’t about being in the background. It’s about creating moments. You get real satisfaction from things being just so: the napkins folded, the glasses lined up, the play space looking as fresh at the end of the party as it did at the start. Most guests won’t notice every single detail you attend to, but they’ll feel the difference. And you love being the reason why.

What You’ll Do

As a Hospitality Stylist, you’ll learn the art of celebrations: part banquet server, part stage manager, part magician of details.

  • Set the Scene – Arrive early to transform the party space. Style tables, décor, and favors so everything looks polished and photo-ready. Clean and stage every surface. Walk the full event footprint with a critical eye before the family arrives, because the first impression should take their breath away.
  • Serve with Precision – Present food gracefully, pour drinks without a splash, clear plates so guests never sit in clutter. You’re attentive without being intrusive, always one step ahead of what the table needs.
  • Keep It Immaculate – Clean play areas and banquet tables continuously, but quietly, so the magic never breaks. The space should look as beautiful at the end of the party as it did at the start.
  • Anticipate the Moment – Offer a chair before someone asks. Refill waters before they’re empty. Grab the host parent a glass of water and tell them “everything is perfect, just enjoy this.” Snap a family photo when no one else thinks to. Remember the siblings’ names.
  • Read the Room – Notice when the energy shifts. Know when to transition kids from play to the party room, when to give the family a quiet moment, when to pick up the pace. You’re conducting the entire experience in real time.
  • Create the Finale – Guide the cake moment like it’s a production: candles ready, grandparents positioned, plates stacked, slices served quickly and cleanly. Quietly wrap leftover cake so the family doesn’t have to think about it.
  • Reset with Pride – Own the full post-event teardown: deep clean every surface, restock supplies, restore the space to pristine condition. If there’s a back-to-back celebration, the next family walks into a room with zero trace of the one before.

The Right Attitude (Non-Negotiable)

We’ll teach you how to carry a tray, cut a cake, and execute a flawless table reset. What we can’t teach is the mindset. We’re looking for people who naturally:

  • Run after someone to return a dropped scarf
  • Offer to carry a stroller up the stairs
  • Hand a plate to a friend before serving themselves
  • Straighten a chair just because it looks better that way
  • Feel proud when a room looks just right, even if no one else noticed they’re the reason why

If that’s you, you’ll thrive with us.

What Makes You Successful

  • You like when spaces feel intentional, even if no one can pinpoint exactly why
  • You believe kindness is powerful, not performative
  • You stay calm when kids are running in circles and parents are juggling ten things at once
  • You don’t just work the party, you help style it
  • You hold yourself and your personal spaces to a high standard, and you carry that same energy into your work

Why Work With Us

  • Every shift is a celebration. You’re literally part of the party.
  • You’ll learn professional banquet and hospitality skills that translate anywhere
  • Flexible weekend scheduling that works around school, life, and everything in between
  • A stunning, purpose-built event space that makes your work more beautiful
  • A team that believes the little things aren’t little. They’re everything.
  • Competitive hourly pay with growth opportunities
  • Complimentary membership perks
  • You’ll walk away from every shift knowing you made a family feel seen, cared for, and celebrated
