The Atlanta History Center is seeking a skilled and energetic professional to join our part-time events team. This position requires maintaining a polished and professional appearance while engaging with guests to provide attentive and personalized service at private and public events across our campus, from weddings and galas to corporate gatherings. Ultimately, the events bartender contributes to the overall ambiance and reputation of the establishment by upholding high standards of service and hospitality.
Responsibilities

Adhere to the standard uniform policy, including a white button-down shirt, black vest, bow tie, and black pants or knee-length skirt, black non-slip dress shoes, black belt, and nametag, while maintaining a well-groomed appearance.

Assist the bar team with transporting and supply replenishment of product to bar locations.

Execute complete bar setup, including glassware, signage, and product staging, to be fully mission-ready for service.

Provide high-energy, warm hospitality, and maintain a professional demeanor throughout the duration of the event.

Prepare and serve a full range of beverages, which include soft drinks, beer, wine, and mixed beverages, with a focus on speed, accuracy, and workspace cleanliness.

Ensure responsible alcohol service by strictly verifying identification and adhering to all legal regulations and integrity standards.

Maintain knowledge of menu items to confidently address guest inquiries and support team members.

Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with urgency and accuracy, while remaining calm and composed under pressure.

Uphold rigorous hygiene standards by regularly cleaning and sanitizing bar tools, equipment, and the bar stations.

Process credit card payments at designated events when required.

Collaborate with the team to ensure all areas are broken down and products and supplies are stored properly at the end of each shift, ensuring all areas are reset and in order.
Qualifications

Prior high-volume event bartending experience preferred.

Completion of TIRV alcohol service training required (we can provide this).

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to engage confidently and professionally with guests.

Reliable transportation and flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, most of the shift.

Ability to regularly lift up to 25-30 pounds and occasionally lift heavier items up to 50 pounds, such as cases of liquor, beer kegs, and supplies, while following proper lifting techniques.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, moving around a 33-acre campus to set up and break down bars across various locations.
